I can't believe how fast a year goes. Our little Emmie turned one on January 10. We had a party with mostly family and a couple of friends at our house. Emmie loved it! I think she really knew that the party was for her. She played with her guests, told them she is one, performed "twinkle, twinkle little star", and then dove into her cake. I finally had to take it away from her. Not only does she look a little like me, she definitely got my sweet tooth.

Playing at the park after the party.Emmie is so amazing to me. It seems as though a little light turns on every couple of days and she learns more and can do more. She is quickly becoming a little toddler. She desperately wants to do anything that Walt is doing. If he has a popsicle, she obviously has to have one too. She lets us know by pointing and shouting "dat, dat, dat!" Emmie is very independent and wants to do things herself. She gives great kisses, hugs, and as of yesterday love pats.
