Soccer

Walt played soccer again this year on a team of his buddies that he started playing with last year.  It is amazing the difference a year makes.  They have grown, changed, and gotten so good.  Last Year.  All season they dominated in the under 5 league, not that we keep score.  Before each game Walt would tell me he was going to score 100 goals, we pared it back to something attainable like 1 the first time, 2 the next week, 3 the following, etc.  The cool thing was, he would then score that many goals.  It was so fun to watch.
still plenty of silliness by Walt

Disney Princesses on Ice

I took Emmie to see the Disney Princesses on Ice a few weekends ago, just the girls.  It was awesome.  She was completely in awe of all the princesses.  Emmie sat on the edge of her seat the whole time.  I tried and tried to capture in a picture how I saw her watching.  Each time a new princess came out she would say, "It's Tinkerbell, It's Snow White, etc.  When Ariel came out, it was "Mommy, The Little Mermaid, It's the Little Mermaid mommy!"  Ariel is by far her favorite princess.  And, I must say the Little Mermaid was the longest and best performance.  Every day since, Emmie keeps asking if we can please go see the princesses again.  I love this little girly girl!

Fabulously Fun Fall Weekend

We had a great weekend in Clemson with the Gregg's back in October.  We drove through the mountains, saw the waterfall, went apple picking, went to the Clemson football game, and finished the weekend at the SC State Fair on the way home.  What a fabulously fun fall weekend.  We did it all and had a blast being with family.
 2002 & 2010 at the Waterfall
Apple picking at Bryson's farms.  Emmie loved picking "cute apples".   They were miniature red apples that were delicious.  She ate 5 of them while we were picking.

Leaving the apple orchard with full bags and buckets.  PopPop, Boyd, Meme, Emmie, Uncle Stephen and Nicki.

Our little Tigers.  They were pumped to go to the football game.  They both love to yell C-L-E-M-S-O-N T-I-G-E-R-S fight tigers, fight tigers, fight fight fight!  It is pretty cute.  I think they may have orange blood!
This was after the pretzel and frozen lemonades and shortly before the "I'm hot, let's go" in the first quarter.  We stayed until halftime and then went back to the tailgate.  We tailgated with my best friends from college and they really know how to do it right.  Walt and Emmie were champion tailgaters from 11-6:30!

Definitely an annual tradition.
How sweet are these two???  These are completely unposed.  For some reason all Sunday morning Walt and Emmie were curled up to each other in this chair.  They were pretty tired after their extreme tailgaiting.
Boyd and I haven't been to the SC State Fair in many, many years.  It really hasn't changed much other than the rediculous additions of fried foods.  Walt and Emmie LOVED the rides and the elephant ears.  We ate, rode, ate, rode, you get the picture.  FUN!
Not sure why Walt and Emmie rode in seperate cars with random kids.
Who had more fun here, Boyd or Emmie?  I admit, it was a lot of fun to go down the big slide again.  Thanks to Papa and PopPop for standing in line for us while the kids rode the airplane.

This race car ride is by far the kids favorite.  It makes them laugh so hard when it swings them around.

Emmie really did want to ride this tugboat with Walt and me, but boy she hated it.  Ooops!

Thank you Meme and PopPop for such a fun weekend in the mountains and at Clemson.

Halloween

The night before Halloween we had some good friends over for shrimp gumbo and walked over to the pumpkin walk.  Every one brings a carved pumpkin and there is a drum circle that the kids love.
Emmie is really into dressing up now, and insisted on wearing her tutu.  She had a good time dancing to the drum beat.

The sweet group of friends that we trick or treated with this year included, The Little Mermaid, Goldilicious, Purplelicious, a unicorn, superwoman, a Clemson football player, an Eagles football player, Spiderman, and two of the Pink Ladies.  The big girls were so sweet to help Emmie up and down all the steps.

Emmie LOVES Sophia, and Sophia is so sweet to her.

Boone Hall Farms Pumpkin Patch

Before going to the Pumpkin Patch at Boone Hall we met Boyd at IHOP for some Spooky pancakes.

Emmie didn't want to look at the camera, so Walt decided to hold her face in the right direction.
Hay ride through the spooky forest around the farm.
Walt LOVED this giant jumping pillow...Emmie not so much!
After Walt sat on the tractor, he let Emmie sit, while he fixed it up just a little.
