Classic

Ha Ha!  Such a classic.  I'm looking for a good picture of Emmie to turn in for school.  Don't worry, this isn't it, but it did make me laugh!

Boys and Girls

It always amazes me how boys are such boys and girls are so girly.  As the kids and I were driving the other day, Emmie says, "Mommy, I want to be a mommy."  Walt follows this up with, "I want to go hunting!"  Ha!  That's our kids!!!  A little me and a little Boyd were riding in my back seat.  To follow these comments up, Walt got boy time on Friday night.  At the last minute as Boyd and Stephen were getting ready to go shrimping for the opening of shrimping season, Walt sweetly asked his daddy if he could go too.  What a great dad Boyd is to take him knowing he wouldn't last too long.  He takes shrimping very serious, as we do like to eat fresh caught shrimp once a week.  :)  I think Walt had a great time.  He ended up staying out with the guys for 2 hours until 7pm when I told them I was ready to pick him up to go home.  On a side note, over the weekend Boyd, Stephen and Walt caught over 40lbs of shrimp! WHOO HOO!!!  And, Walt is asking if he can go again.  :)

On Saturday Emmie got her girl time.  She was invited to Harper's 2nd Birthday party.  This was the first little girl party that Emmie has been invited too on her own without Walt.  She was so excited.  She picked Harper's gift out and kept telling Walt and Boyd that no boys were allowed at the party.  It was an all girl party and each girl was to bring one of her babies.  This was the cutest, best idea for a little girl party.  The girls changed their babies diapers, fed them, and then took them all for a stroll.  So cute and she had the best time.  And the party favor was a little diaper bag with diapers, bottles, etc.  LOVE it!  Needless to say Emmie had an awesome time playing with all of the girls being a mommy!

Back to School

Last Tuesday was Walt and Emmie's first day back at school.  They are going to St. Andrews Day School again and love it.  Walt is in 4K and goes Monday - Thursday 9-12:30 and Emmie goes Tuesday and Thursday 9-12.  Walt and his best friend Charlie are in different classes this year, but play on the playground together and we still carpool.  They both seem to be ok with this and adding to their group of friends.  So I think it is working out well.  Emmie does have her best friend Reagan in her class.  She LOVES to go to school this year.  No crying!!! YAY!  She is now fully potty trained and going at school.  I was so proud to pick her up the first two days with no accidents.  On the second day she ran into her class and gave Ms. Ruthie a hug and said Ms. Jan smiles at her and makes her happy.  Boy, that just makes me happy.  Walt is no longer playing bad guys on the playground.  He is now playing the good guy and protecting Caroline!  So proud of him for being a sweet boy.  Oh, and Emmie is loving getting to have 2 mommy and Emmie days.
