Edisto Beach

Where has the summer gone?!?!?! I have a lot of catching up to do. In July, we spent a week down at Edisto Beach with Boyd's family and it was great. Edisto is one of those great old family beaches that really takes you back in time. There really isn't much to do other than go to the beach and hang out with family and friends. Everyone knows that I tend to take a lot of pictures, and I think I got a little carried away with my camera on this trip. So...here are a couple of the best that Alicia, Boyd, and I took.
All dressed up and no place to go except the beach!
Emmie and Addison playing all things girly. They were sharing makeup here.
Emmie, Addison, and Walt playing toys
Robert, Rachel, and Addison Sanders
Aunt Caroline and Coach Lee brought Walt his very own watermelon that was just his size. Watermelon is Walt and Emmie's favorite. When Coach Lee told him it came from the farm, Walt said, "What kind of animals do you have?" Coach Lee has a blueberry farm, no animals. It took a little understanding that it wasn't like Old MacDonald.
What a girl, hanging out in the kitchen with Meme, Granny, and Mommy. A few minutes later, Emmie laid her head on the counter, and said, "Meme, I so tired."
Everyone enjoyed glow sticks on the beach at night.
Walt had eyes only for Aunt Alicia. He wanted to go get in her bed every morning. When I asked him one morning why he wanted to snuggle with Aunt Alicia instead of me, he said,
"She loves me!" I was chopped liver that day compared to Alicia. It was really sweet though, and she is really good to Walt. I'm pretty sure he somehow has an extra bond with Alicia because she kept him when I went back to work when he was an infant.
Aunt Alicia brought arts and crafts!
Emmie and Meme walking on the beach Walt and Emmie enjoyed sitting in and moving their beach chairs
Walt had fun playing his guitar while Stephen played his...future band?
Emmie singing and clapping with Emomma
The water was so calm it looks like a lake, but it is the ocean
Walt was telling the waves to stop on the walkie talkie...they didn't get the message.
Walt LOVES the sand and LOVES to jump into the holes Boyd builds.
