Walt's First Day of Kindergarten

Yesterday was Walt's first day of Kindergarten at the elementary school.  He was so excited to go.  By 6:30am he was dressed and ready with his bed made.  It's so hard to believe that he is old enough to go to kindergarten.  But, it is hard to be sad when this little boy is so excited and so ready for all the new adventures, friends, and lessons ahead.  Really I'm so excited for him.  He already had two friends in his class and knew a couple others through sports.  Not that I'm worried at all about Walt making new friends.  He has never met a stranger and loves collecting and holding onto all friends that he meets.  This is one of my favorite things about Walt.  Anyways, when I picked him up from school the first thing he said was that it was a long day.  And it was, 7:50-2:50!  But, he made it, and didn't even fall asleep during rest time or fall apart when we got home.  YAY!  He said his favorite thing was eating in the cafe.  His class also went to the library and he loved picking out a book and bringing it home.  He says they played on the playground, played in the class room, did art, and learned some stuff too, although he wouldn't tell me what they learned.  He must have loved it, again this morning he came down fully dressed with his bed made at 6:30 ready to go.  Today we started our routine of Daddy taking Walt to school and Emmie and I will pick him up.  Walt loves that the boys go to work together everyday while the girls stay home and play.  :)  It was like watching Boyd and his mini-me leave this morning.  SO CUTE!
