It was finally Walt's turn to have his 3rd Birthday party last Saturday. Walt went to Nick's birthday party back in November, he has asked if it was time for his party yet ever since. He has waited patiently through several of his friends birthdays, Emmie's, mine, and Popa's. Most every day since Emmie's birthday he has asked if it was his turn. Well, the day came last Saturday and I think it met all of his anticipation. Despite the fact that Walt only requested that we have cake, party hats, and sing Happy Birthday, we invited all of his friends from school to the Children's Museum of the Low Country. It was FANTASTIC! Walt's eyes just lit up when everyone told him Happy Birthday. He had a blast and so did we. The kids paraded through the museum playing their instruments as everyone in the museum shouted "Happy Birthday Walt." We did marble paintings, colored, had cake, and played in the museum. I must say, the staff at the museum was AWESOME! They did everything and made the party run so smoothly.

Walt loves party blowers and playing his drum.
After the Children's Museum we had our families over for a birthday lunch. We had Walt's favorite, spaghetti. Since a party in Walt's eyes must have a cake, Boyd baked and decorated an Elmo cake for this party. What a fun day. We are so thankful to everyone that helped us celebrate Walt turning 3! You helped to make this a very special day for us all.
